To be registered as a member of the UHR SACCO, one needs a national ID card and can choose either the Ordinary account package or the Excecutive account package.

Ordinary account package

Requires a minimum of 40 shares at Shs. 10,000 each. Monthly savings of 50,000 Ugandan shillings minimum,but there is no maximum savings for members.

Excecutive account package

Requires a minimum of 100 shares at Shs. 10,000. Monthly minimum savings of 100,000 and there is no maximum amount on members savings.

Loan Eligibility

A member should have a minimum of forty (40) shares for ordinary account holder and 100 minimum shares for an executive account holder respectively.

Then  thirty (30) percent of the loan amount required in savings and a guarantor for the reminder of the balance and this works for both account holders.

Please note that a member’s saving can be withdrawn as long as they do not have a personal loan

Benefits of Purchasing Shares

Shares purchased by members and have been used by the SACCO for a period of twelve (12) months attract dividends to members annually.

Note: Dividends can be declared to members in-form of stock shares or cash as it shall be determined by all members in the AGM.

Acquisition of Minimum shares by members  is part of the requirements for securing a Business loan, Agriculture loan and School fees loan by the credit committee.
